Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The location, staff, cleanliness and overall atmosphere helped us to relax after long days exploring! Food was delicious too! Breakfast was amazing and we added on dinner one night as well!
The cottage was just outside of the town - close enough to walk to town for dinner / drinks (check out the brewery!) or to many of the different walking/hiking paths in the area. Far enough out of town to feel quiet and private - even in the middle of the day when tours show up. The view is just phenomenal and communication was easy!
Location was very convenient to harbor. Walking distance to Inn. Room was nice in size and restroom was large. Beds were very comfortable. Heat was adequate.
The place is super organized. The kitchen is publicly used, but every guest can feel it is own kitchen, very convinient and clean. When finish usage, every guest clean it and put it back as beginning. This because the manager request all guests to do so. Good idea, well done.
I loved everything about our place! The location was perfect -- right next to downtown, dinner at GOTT, and drinks at The Puffin Bar. It was the perfect spot for our first trip to Heimaey, my dream town.
The hotel was fresh and contemporary- very comfortable and efficient. The staff were all friendly and helpful. great bar- with a real bartender. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the server was a pro, and knowledgeable about the island and gave recommendations for next day activities.
We had a good contact with the friendly owner who quickly brought us the towels that were missing. The apartment had even a washing machine, good china, and candles if you need to have a romantic dinner. Mattresses were good.
Beautiful location! It's a lovely, affordable alternative for a couple to guest houses but not quite camping.
