Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The Staff were wonderful. The bar was buzzing. Dinner was excellent. The room was clean. There is a separate entrance to the accommodation away from the bar.
The hotel itself is nice, the restaurants for the price were absolutely nowhere good enough.. we ordered dinner in the steak restaurant it was €88 for a tomahawk steak, order it medium rare it was practically well done. Chewy. Not edible.. other steaks at the table were also not cooked as they were asked. The prawns were borderline raw. To make up for this we got a free bottle of cheap Prosecco. The food was a massive let down for us, especially when the room rates are so dear.
I really enjoyed my stay. My room was nice and big and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We ate dinner in Maxwells and Cedars restaurants - both were lovely and Cedars won! I loved the pool and spa area and went both mornings. All in all a very good experience. Ps also loved the Cellar bar...
