Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Basic but clean and nice hotel. A/c in the rooms. Great staff. They don't serve breakfast but there is an attached coffe where you can eat very very well. Is beside hotel Pias Poppies, a good choice for dinner.
We had great time here.
A nice family homestay outside of the city center (it can be a little noisy though).
Felt like at home, great moment over dinner,
water refill, local medication if needed;)
Room is spacious, clean, modern and well furnished.
Breakfast was perfect and in addition you can rent motorbike here
Henrick is a good guide I highly recommend a tour with him.
He has strong knowledge about the toraja culture and will dedicate a lot of time to explain it. Kuree Sumanga !
Manaek is a lovely sweet woman who seems to run the place. She prepares breakfast and dinner for the guests and she always smiles. The people are always willing to help you, with transportation or tours etc.
The homestay is next to beautiful traditional houses and located in between the rice fields with beautiful views. It is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful stay in nature, compared to the noisy city centre of Rantepao.
Friendly staff. Room was big and clean, and had a balcony with a nice view. The wifi was really good, best in any hotel/hostel I've stayed in on my trip so far. The restaurant downstairs had good food for breakfast and dinner. The location is good, about a ten minute walk from supermarkets and ATMs, but about twenty minutes to the centre. Aircon worked well. They let me check in late when my bus was delayed which I really appreciated.
The structure was authentic, an house on a tree. It is an experience, different than a hotel but perfect in the context of Toraja region.
The hosts were incredible! All kind, very welcoming and friendly. I stayed 2N3D, and I felt home from the beginning. Meyske and her mother prepared the guests every morning a delicious breakfast. There was the possibility to eat dinner with them (for a very low price), which was very delicious as well. The atmosphere was fantastic, also the other guests were very good people.
I had a wonderful stay at Mana tias🙏 Great private room good dinner and inclusive breakfast and friendly staff who guided me around Toraja including a funeral ceremony!
Don’t hesitate to book your stay and Toraja tour with Mama tia🙏
Ibra is the most helpful and caring host. He ensures the home is clean and comfortable, he helped us to organise everything, took us to town for dinner, picked us up when we had finished, organised scooters, guides, drivers. Fantastic host. Also, this homestay is only 4 minutes walk from Ke’te Kesu, one of the best traditional village/hanging grave sites to visit.
It was a great experience to stay at Meyske’s family house. From the beginning we arrived it felt like home. Meyske welcomed us warmly and took care of everything for our entire stay. We also booked a two days tour with her to dive into the Torajan culture. We really can recommend doing the tour with her, because she is really enthusiastic and authentic explaining everything about her culture she loves. Besides that she is an amazing cook - breakfast and dinner were always delicious.
very relaxing stay, hearing the sound of nature. Fantastic view of tongkonan houses from the living room balcony and a room. The owner provides a dinner on request basus, which was not only delicious but helpful.
loved everything about this place - it is not fancy, but it is very clean and the Hostess is fantastic. we arrived late and she made dinner for us when we got there. The traditional meal she cooked the next day was also great, chicken in bamboo. There is a full bathroom outside the house with a hot water shower, western toilet and two sinks - very clean. The traditional house would not be able to accommodate a bathroom in the building itself. This is an experience to stay in real Toraja house - it is not a fancy hotel - but it is great!!
