High quality service & good location to hike the vulcano or walk (about an hour) to the hotsprings. Nino and his mother were the best guests 👌 We recommend to have breakfast/lunch or dinner there. They offer delicious food & best passion fruit juice ever! Terimakasi!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this homestay! The whole family are lovely people. We were given some great tips for what to do in Berastagi, the included breakfast was delicious, and dinner was very nice as well. Kaesa organised a great trip to Sibayak for us, as well as transportation to the airport. We would wholeheartedly recommend this homestay to anyone thinking about visiting Berastagi.

Owners are very friendly people, always ready to give you tips on everything: transportation, trips, local food. Room was comfrotable and the beds were the best we have seen in Sumatra. Hot water was a big plus. You can order breakfast or dinner there, and it will be homemade prepared, which is for sure delicious, but we found it a bit too expensive for our budget. Scooter rental available for 150.000 a day.

We stayed for two nights - big bedroom, two king size beds, one single bed, everything very clean. Self-made breakfast and dinner by Cecilia was amazing, traditional food, fresh fruits and whole grain bread - we loved it. Smiley and Cecilia spoke English very well, we learnt a lot about the culture and living. We especially enjoyed the two tours we did with Smiley - Volcano Sibayak at sunrise and Batak village and market. Smiley's Homestay in Berastagi was definitely one of our Sumatra highlights.

The views from the hotel room....lovely.. I waited for sunrise on the two mornings that I was there. It's a homestay ...hence, the owner kept us well informed. We had lovely cooked dinners and breakfasts.

Anton was really helpful. He gave us all the information we needed and even dropped us off at the beginning of our walk. The breakfast was lovely and differed both mornings we stayed there which was nice. The room had a huge comfortable bed.

Smiley and Cecilia are the nicest hosts we had in Indonesia. We felt really much at home and they cared a lot after our 2 girls for 3 days. He guided us to the volcano for the sunrise and he took us to very secret spots in the crater. She is an excellent cook so I really recommend to have dinner and breakfast there too. We could even cook dinner with her. They are both very happy to share about their culture and country, we learned a lot about Batak people with them.

I had a very nice stay at Kaesa Homestay. The room provided everything I was looking for during my stay. The guest house is located in a very authentic part of Berastagi with shops for everyday's needs and restaurants nearby.
