Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Exceptional, rustic hotel. Very clean (daily cleaning). Friendly staff, very good breakfast. The best view of the Meteora. The hotel is at the end of Kastraki, next to the Meteores, so the area is very quiet, but also the hotel is 4-5 minutes walk to the central square of Kastraki, where is the local church and you can find a supermarket, tavernas, juice&ice cream shops etc., all you need. The best accomodation for a few days of relaxation in this unique area.
We had a lovely room which was clean and comfortable. The views from our balcony were superb looking out at the impressive Meteora’s rock formations. The breakfast which we enjoyed in the garden was delicious. Staff were very polite and helpful and parking was easy. It was an easy 10min walk to the local taverns for lunch and dinner.
It was in the BEST location for the perfect view of the Meteora. It’s situated in the smaller, and in my opinion, nicer of the 2 villages at the foot of the monasteries.. very quaint. The staff were so helpful and friendly and breakfast was wonderful. Worth noting they do not do dinners but proximity to village and many tavernas means this is not an issue.
A quiet well situated guest house. Spiros, the manager, gave us helpful advice and a map he had drawn to guide us up to the Meteora Monasteries and view points. We could park our car within metres of the front door, and were able to bypass the busy town area by a direct road up to the Meteora Monasteries. The nearby Taverna choice was great, and again, Spiro advised us of a brilliant traditional taverna within easy walking distance, with wonderful food and interesting photos of the local scene last century. The service was excellent.
Room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was on the smaller side but did not detract from our experience as the shower was good and bathroom was clean. Staff were super friendly and hospitable. They gave us many tips about visiting the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the taverna that is just on the other side of the side street, definitely must go for dinner when staying here. I would definitely stay again.
We loved it. The people were fantastic, we felt like old friends. The hotel seems recently updated; it is rustic yet elegant, tasteful and comfortable. Yet the best thing is the people themselves. Their attached taverna is great and homely.
So much better than staying in Kalambaka for visiting the monasteries.
Would love to come back.
Great guest house, our room was modern, clean, and had a balcony. Comfortable bed, tiny bathroom but adequate. Simple breakfast of bread & spreads, pastries, fruit, and coffee. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the Taverna downstairs, good food, and the staff spoilt us.
Very good stay at Holy Spirit. Great location, great owner, great staff. The same owner has a Taverna just near the Guest House, so it was very comfortable for dinner.
