the Athens Iris Hotel is a superb option for staying close to the Athens Train Station. It is great value for money - the hotel is very clean, rooms are air-conditioned, breakfast is great and the staff could not be more helpful or friendly. The front desk staff also recommended we try a traditional Greek tavern just down the road for dinner and we certainly enjoyed our meal there. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Cosy apartment, clean. Next to a small square with taverna, bakery, fast food, cafes, basically everything that you would need for breakfast or dinner.
To go to town center you needed to walk 20-30 minutes downhill. Coming back uphill was a bit of a problem, but taxis / Uber is so cheap (and plenty to find) that's not a problem.

Excellent location, all main attraction are within walking distance, excellent taverns, restaurants and shops are located next to the hotel. Breakfast is served in highly rated tavern and hotel guests also have a discount at the tavern for lunch and dinner.
The appartment was surrounded by various food service establishments, offering good quality and a rich variety of food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as nightlife (traditional taverns with music and more...). The location of the appartment was pefrect and safe. It was close to major monuments, offering easy access to various other amenities. The owner response was quick, helpful and very informative.

The place is fine for a night in Athen to visit the surroundings.
Sergei the owner is very nice and he keep our lugagge after the check-out. Also he recommended us a nuce tavern near for dinner.
We want to thank a lot for the opportunity of staying in Christinas amazing accomodation! From the very beginning we were welcomed so hospitably. She prepared already a couple of things for us so that we feel comfortable when arriving. It was totally clean and fully equipped. Last but not least we could ask her anytime for recommendations and advice for the best taverns and local food markets!
