We arrived early but were made very welcome by the owner and offered tea and freshly baked scones. The room was ready and perfect for our needs. The food was delicious especially the mushroom risotto which I would highly recommend. The staff were friendly and excellent. A great place to stay when walking The Ridgeway.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Lovely, picturesque old inn near Uffington White Horse and other sights. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and rooms are in an annex by the pub/restaurant so very quiet. Welcoming staff, free parking and excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Nice seating out the front too in a pretty garden.
The bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get up in the morning, except that the breakfasts were so good I had to get up for those. Lunches and dinners were also very good indeed.
Location was idyllic and very near the White Horse of Uffignton! A lovely walk to Uffington Town itself about 10 - 20 minutes. The Character of the Pub, parking across the road and dining in the pub for breakfast (provided!) and dinner.
A rare find, peaceful location, friendly staff (all excellent). I ate both breakfast and dinner on two consecutive days - I can't compliment the chefs strongly enough - food was some of the best I have had in a country pub for some time
Room was spacious, clean and it was nice that it was separate from the pub. Breakfast was absolutely spot on plenty of it, freshly cooked. and very hot. Staff were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble they are a credit to the White Horse Inn. Had drinks in the afternoon and a meal in the evening which was excellent. We only stayed one night but would highly recommend to anyone
A beautiful country inn. Flowery outside and atmospheric inside. We enjoyed our evening meal and a great breakfast the following morning. Ideally placed for a visit to the famous White Horse on the Downs.
