This 16th-century inn is in the quiet village of Newbridge, in the Oxfordshire countryside. It has original character, free parking and a restaurant and riverside garden.

The checking staff were very helpful. I had an evening meal which was excellent and good value, and the bar staff were very chatty and helpful. The choice of real ales exceeded my expectations and were reasonably priced. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and breakfast was very tasty and well presented

The property has a country style vibe, really lovely to look at with lots of space. The room could’ve been lovely if more attention was paid to the cleaning. Hayley behind the bar was lovely, greeted as we arrived and was there for dinner service also. The other lady was a bit ‘away with the fairies’ whilst polite, she didn’t seem to understand the simplest of questions which resulted in a babbling mess when trying to order food.
