Very comfortable and relaxed place to stay. We had a room with it’s own little balcony which was lovely. Parking was free and easy. The food in the restaurant is very good. Highly recommended. We had dinner on all of our three nights. We had been thinking of walking to the nearby town but the road is narrow and quite busy so we decided not to. There are other walks from the pub. A printout of the local walking tracks would be handy.

The Brown Horse was perfect to meet up with friends and have a lovely meal. I stayed overnight before traveling home and the breakfast was excellent and set me up for a busy day. The bathroom was fabulous and felt like unexpected luxury in an old coaching inn. The staff were all very friendly and someone taking you to your room felt like a very welcoming touch.

The attention to detail was exceptional during this stay. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, served efficiently with an eye to detail. The room, ensuite and dining area were tastefully fitted out in keeping with the country inn character. All the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfy. We looked for somewhere to stay outside of the villages and the Inn was ideally located on a quiet road with central easy access to all the lakes and nearby shops and necessities. We also had a delicious dinner at the Inn and the Guiness on tap was excellent! The room was well stocked with tea/coffee etc. Lots of easy parking.

Oh how beautiful is this place. So rustic , just as we thought it would be. It would have been nice to have had water in the room. But this is a minor point. Our room was so comfortable. We used the restaurant for an evening meal, the food did not dissapoint. Our waitress was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I definitely reccomend The Brown Horse Inn.
