Breakfast was good both days - liked the kitchen area where you could get your own juice, cereal, croissants, etc. Suppers were good pub grub. Room was spacious, with nice little kitchenette, and a good view of hills! Staff cheerful and friendly on the whole. Plenty of parking space.

We had the dinner and the breakfast in the morning, both meals were delicious . It was a perfect quiet atmosphere in the bar at night, it was a very calm hotel, lots of people staying but so quick and efficient on the reception desk that there where no queues, keeping up with the calmness of the place. Plenty of parking. It was the rest we needed as we had to travel for 19 hours the following day.

On arrival it would be nice to be greeted with a smile… Dinner in the ball was very pleasant and the steak was cooked wonderfully… I think your rooms are a little tired and I suffered with a noisy radiator overnight which woke me up… Breakfast was a very mixed bag Eggs that were very anaemic and hardly call them a yellow woke and the bread was mass produced whereas you had nice sausages bacon fabulous mushrooms a real mixed bag

I used to live in the area. I knew the pub as the New Inn. I quite liked the old photos, although they were before my time. Free Parking Close to the centre Excellent room and facilities. I had a Sunday roast in the pub next door, which was also very good. In conclusion, I would say that it is not hard to find somewhere cheaper, but you would struggle to find somewhere better.
