We ate at in the Tollgate with the family we visited in the area. The food and atmosphere were so good the two of us ate there the following night.
The food was excellent once again, and the staff could not do enough for us.

Nice country Inn well out of the way but close to Bath, Stonehenge and lovely countryside. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Wonderful English Garden and outside dining area.
Lovely rustic charm, comfortable room, restaurant food was delicious as was the breakfast and nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and lovely garden to enjoy.
The property is beautiful. Loads of parking. Gardens are gorgeous. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing and not over priced. Would definitely recommend.
The Hut in which I stayed was just perfect; out in the gardens of the Pear Tree, the staff could not be more welcoming toward me, or indeed my dog, who the staff made a big fuss of!!
The welcome basked was a lovely touch, and everything fitted in the hut really well; I've stayed in the main Inn before, which was lovely, but the outside huts are just great. It was.t great weather, but I had a little deck around the side of the Hut, which was perfect, secluded and private.
Food for both breakfast and dinner was of high quality although breakfast choices were limited. Bed was comfortable. Car park was a good size. Location was peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Everything!! We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is beautiful, very cosy and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very pretty, very nicely decorated with a lovely smell and high quality beauty products. The house keeping lady even gave my son the surprise of beautiful displaying his soft toys on the bed!!
Also the food was amazing!! Breakfast and dinner superb!
Our stay was very pleasant. Breakfasts and dinners have been the best meals we've eaten so far on this trip. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Nothing was a bother.
The hotel is absolutely charming and picturesque. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure guests are completely satisfied. The room facilities (a garden room as we travelled with our dog) was very rustic but well equipped and everything is of high quality.
We had a superb dinner in the evening and a terrific cooked breakfast the next morning. The buffet was copious and included lovely fresh fruit, yogurt etc.
