The staff were all so lovely, a really friendly pub with a great atmosphere and my dog loved it. Really comfy bed and superb breakfast. We were up on the 2nd floor but managed ok, even with my dodgy old knee's.

Very friendly and very helpful staff. The locals are also very welcoming. The food was very tasty and good pub food. The breakfast is exceptionally good and value for money at just £15. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great for people travelling long distances and want a break as it is near the motorway. It is difficult to find fault.

The location was excellent as we were visiting family at Kendrew Barracks. Pub was lovely, warm and welcoming. Room was lovely and the bed was clean and comfortable. Food was lovely and catered for my gluten free needs. Steve was the most fantastic host who really couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoyed our stay, the breakfast is very good and you can enjoy a lovely curry on the evening. The manager who covered breakfast and dinner was professional, polite and really friendly, we will be back for a couple of days in September.

This is a self-catering apartment and the facilities were excellent. It was very helpful having a nominated parking place. The location is also excellent (easy for the sat-nav to find!) and a short hop to the town centre. There is a C0-Op store right opposite and the back entrance to the Crown Inn. We went into Oakham by bus one day and the stop is right outside as well.

Excellent restaurant for food and service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good to have the choice of Indian and English cuisine. We enjoyed dinner last Saturday immensely. Breakfast was also very good. Convenient to have a ground floor room in adjacent annexe. Plenty of car parking available. Good for our base in a nice quiet village as it is near to Rutland Water etc.

Breakfast was a "help yourself" near reception. Cereal, fruit juice, and coffee Croissants etc provided with a microwave and toaster. Perfectly adequate. Room excellent, comfortable double bed and a sofa bed (I was travelling alone). Dinner required a very short walk next door to a separate facility. Excellent Indian restaurant, may not suit everyone, but I was completely satisfied.
