We stayed overnight at the Red Cow before visiting Duxford Air Museum. There was a friendly welcoming atmosphere in the bar and the staff were very helpful.
We had dinner there which was excellent and the chef went out of his way to cook me a special dish

What a lovely Pub. Very Nice staff, friendly locals, a busy vibe as people obviously used the pub for their evening meals and to socialise with friends after work.
We had a comfortable twin room which is a purpose built annex next to the pub. the room had everything we needed, was warm, clean and comfortable. We got an uninterupted, comfortably nights sleep And a fabulous breakfast.
The Chef at breakfast was such a nice man and made us fee really welcome. Good value for money.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
My room was clean and had all the facilities that I needed. The staff were helpful, polite, and anxious to please. The dinner food was was good, with plenty of choice. Being able to park my car within the hotel car park for the duration of my stay was much appreciated.
We got a lovely welcome when we arrived. When we first arrived in our room there was a strange noise so we were very kindly upgraded to another room that was perfect and we were very grateful.
We had dinner in the hotel which was very tasty and a lovely breakfast with good choice the following morning.
The hotel is right on the high street and opposite the church. There is parking at the hotel.
Lovely attractively restored coaching Inn right opposite Thaxted's amazingly dramatic church. Well priced and original evening meal menu and generous cooked breakfast. Very helpful and welcoming staff..
Breakfast was fine. Both dinners were excellent.
All the staff looked after us very well, were always cheerful and friendly and helpful - nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Very attentive staff. Lovely room overlooking the church. Good food from a varied menu. Well restored old inn. Great beers.
