Inn On The Wye, hotel in Symonds Yat

In the heart of the Wye Valley, this traditional English country Inn overlooks the River Wye and ancient Goodrich Castle. It offers a modern Restaurant Grill and bright, airy rooms.

Very good staff but the hotel and grounds suffered from faded glory since our last visit 10 years ago. The place looks run down and I should have viewed previous travellers ratings before booking our one night stay. Dinner was over cooked, over priced and poor quality. Breakfast fortunately was very good. Had to be offered a change of room due to water leaking onto the bathroom floor. All very disappointing.

Fantastic location for the canoe/kayak hire and lovely walks. Would highly recommend it if you're looking to explore the Wye Valley! We made a dinner reservation at the hotel, and the food was amazing with great friendly staff. We will be staying here again!
