Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The location was super on the harbour front. Our host at the guest house was very friendly and welcoming and informative about local restaurants and amenities. The house was very well equipped as was our room. Continental breakfast was plentiful as was tea coffee water etc in room. Spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Cosy lounge area with sofa and large TV, very homely. All round great experience.
Home cooked breakfast was excellent.
Good location if travelling by train, option to have dinner.
Very homely, kind staff. It was our stop for visiting Dunnotar castle, about an hour walk away which was enjoyable.
This establishment is more of a pub with a hotel upstairs, and that is charming in many ways. The overall atmosphere were great. The city had just ended a folk music festival and the musicians were playing for hours down at the bar.
Breakfast and dinner were served down at the pub. The breakfast was pretty good and the dinners were very good.
The hotel is located as central to the town as possible, and close to the seaside walkway.
The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great room, small but the view is amazing. From the bed you can see and hear the sea. Breakfast was good, and in the pub downstairs we had great dinner
Great location in Stonehaven with lovely views over the harbour. Cleanliness levels were good. Our friends room was located at the front of the hotel and had lovely views across the harbour. The food at dinner was very good, excellent fish and chips and a plentiful and tasty breakfast the following morning. Free parking opposite the hotel.
We have a very great stay in belvedere Guest House the owners are very kind, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. There are even vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. We had the Scottish breakfast, so delicious. The Belvedere is located in the city center, Dunnotar Castle is accessible on foot from Stonehaven harbour. We travel by train and the hotel is 10 minutes downhill! To leave the owner called us a taxi (2 min by taxi to get to the station) so we avoided the hill with the suitcases :)
Perfect location.
Super nice pub and very tasty dinner as well as the breakfast
Bed not comfortable and be aware there are a lot of stairs. No elevator
A delightful typical b & b guest house so clean with the friendly host and his staff. We were so impressed with its front gardens full of bloom so well nurtured by the wife of mine host.
One-night weekend trip to Stonehaven from Glasgow. The Ship Inn is located in the old harbour, arguably the best location in town with nice seaside view and cosy surrondings. We had a pleasant and quiet room for the night (great value!), and a delicious meal in the pub/restaurant of the Ship Inn. Stonehaven is well worth a visit, and not only for the castle!
