Everything!! Room was unbelievably comfortable, staff (bartenders/registration/it guru) went out of their way. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Not in city center but 5 minute walk to bus stop without dealing noise and confusion of being downtown. Cannot say enough good!!!!
In a tiny village south of Cambridge, this appealing 16th-century freehouse has an AA Rosette restaurant, an atmospheric bar, and new-build rooms with private bathrooms with free internet.

The cottages are really nice - inside and out. Good to those who came for a conference held in Hinxton conference center. You can go to the conference center just in 5 minutes through the gate. Need to press the button and explain to the security where you are going. The hotel is the only place nearby which serves food, especially in the evenings. Fish and chips was delicious. Breakfast was very nice too.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
My first introduction to Chestnut Inns and a fantastic intro… although I had to wait at the bar for someone to attend to me at check-in and at breakfast, everything else was excellent… sumptuous towels, comfy bed, good food, immaculately clean, good interior design, great shower and bathroom fittings… and very lovely staff.
Loved everything about this place- great location for Newmarket.
Clean, stylish and comfortable rooms in a barn annex set well back behind the pub so very quiet.
Staff, without exception, were excellent- welcoming, friendly and efficient.
Food was excellent- both dinner and breakfast.
Situated in a small, quiet and picturesque village. The rooms were set at the end of a large carpark - luckily we had good weather otherwise you’d need an umbrella! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean with good quality fitments.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and in the restaurant - good quality so worth the price.
Beautiful location and accommodation. If you like rustic looking and original features, this is the place for you. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had lunch upon arrival that was very good and morning breakfast, local sourced products that were amazing. Our room was lovely again with the rustic look. Bed was massive and very comfortable. Very quiet setting that was nice. We got a taxi to and from the race course at a cost of £15 each way so not too overpriced. Highly recommend this property.
Stayed here as prices around North Cambridge had sky rocketted for some reason. About 20min drive from Science Park/Milton which was fine. Room was wonderful, really nicely done. Comfy and everything you need including free Wifi, TV, tea/coffee/water. Bathroom/shower was great. Dinner in the restaurant was nice - not cheap but in line with most other pubs around. Breakfast was great too. I would definitely stay again.
