The location was excellent as we were visiting family at Kendrew Barracks. Pub was lovely, warm and welcoming. Room was lovely and the bed was clean and comfortable. Food was lovely and catered for my gluten free needs. Steve was the most fantastic host who really couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and very helpful staff. The locals are also very welcoming. The food was very tasty and good pub food. The breakfast is exceptionally good and value for money at just £15. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great for people travelling long distances and want a break as it is near the motorway. It is difficult to find fault.

The staff were all so lovely, a really friendly pub with a great atmosphere and my dog loved it. Really comfy bed and superb breakfast. We were up on the 2nd floor but managed ok, even with my dodgy old knee's.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Location couldn't be better, within five minutes off the A1. Ample parkng. It's a very old inn so expect wonky floors and such but good plumbing. Excellent bar and restaurant. We had live rock band which made our stay even better.
Great location and character being a medieval inn.
Staff very friendly and helpful and meals good, especially breakfast. Room comfortable and clean with en suite facilities. The price was exceptional value for money. We would happily stay there again.
Awesome atmosphere of an old English inn. Really good food (both dinner and breakfast). Nice and welcoming staff. Baby cot was provided. Good value for money.
