This is a delightful character hotel with lots of original features right in the heart of the pretty village of Somerton which had been sympathetically decorated and surprisingly spacious with a courtyard garden.
Although a busy village pub, our room was surprisingly quiet.

We had a one night stay over Christmas. Enjoyed a delicious dinner and the breakfast. Both were excellent.
All the staff at dinner and the chef at breakfast, were very welcoming.

Set in Beautiful scenic views. The property was decorated lovely and was so peaceful. Lovely touch of breakfast supplied. Make sure you visit the rose & crown for dinner, delicious!
The inn was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. I arrived late and managed to have a beer before bed. Pub staff were welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable.
The food was amazing. During my stay I sampled the fantastic cooked breakfasts, one dinner and an afternoon tea, which was for my team. The variety was extensive and all presented beautifully.

The location is excellent right in Sherborne town. Parking was easy. Right behind the property. We have been here several times because our son attends school in Sherborne. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a pub downstairs, but we hardly felt the noise from the third floor. We normally have dinner at the pub.
