Loved the setting, the friendly staff and the yummy food. Also we liked the seating capability for meals as guests had the choice for river views, inside or outside especially for breakfast.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Great location, amazing staff. We only had breakfast as we had dinner elsewhere, but it was very good, lots of choice. We visited in July so it was hydrangea explosion everywhere, really beautiful.
Fantastic food, the ideal of a menu in the room to indicate what you would like for breakfast rather than other places we have stayed in have just a full English no other likes or dislikes, but the Royal Inn have it just wright individual choices and how much food you would like so reducing waste.
Evening meals were fantastic and home cook meals tasted really great
Tracy and Richard were excellent hosts and went out of their way to help us after we left some items in the room!
I would highly recommend The Chapel Guest House.
Excellent breakfast too.
The price is super cheap. It has a very cozy vibe and it is very easy to meet new people. It's also very close to the Eden Project (15 minutes walking). Beware though: It's a bit further from the center of St Austel!
The owner is very friendly and easy to chat to. She even made us some dinner when we hadn't eaten yet.
Booked due to the location of The Royal Inn to the Eden Project where we were going to a concert. The pub/restaurant was so friendly great food and the rooms were really big, the breakfast in the morning was hot and perfect! Shout out to K P Taxis too recommended by the staff and we’re very reliable and friendly! Thank you Lucy for everything
Our room was exceptionally comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony, looking out at the countryside before dinner. Strolling in the grounds after our long drive was very pleasant. Dinner was tasty, with plenty of choice. We both enjoyed a swim in the pool before breakfast.
Staff is one of their best assets. Dinner, breakfast, afternoon-teas, were all excellent. Hotel and its grounds, all excellect. Overall, the best hotel experience.
