Very friendly staff. Downstairs mainly given over to restaurant spaces and little space to sit in the hotel comfortably. Lovely outside space made up for that, since it was lovely weather.
Large room.
Big breakfast.

The architecture, local feel, friendliness of staff and the quality of food.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The accommodation is set in a beautiful historic inn. The rooms ooze character and were decorated very well. The location of the Standard Inn is fantastic; located right in the centre of the town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic too.
The Standard Inn is a great pub in Rye. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. I loved the rustic pub decor. The Pub is known for its great beer and delicious food. Be sure to reserve a table for dinner as its usually full. The included Breakdown was great. Would highly recommend!
Utterly wonderful. Often fully booked so if you get an opportunity to stay here grab it. Old historic inn
Perfect location
Warm welcoming reception. Room ready so able to check in.
Room super clean super comfy
Wifi excellent
Breakfast exceptional. We were really looked after. We are vegans. A variety of plant based milks available. Freshly cooked mushrooms tomatoes and beans. And a big thank you for the fresh fruit salad we were given
Fantastic historic Inn, friendly welcome. Surprisingly large room for this type of" olde worlde" pub. Very comfortable. Location is great, right at the centre of the village, only ten minutes or so from the railway station. Castle and other pubs nearby. Bar areas are tremendous, huge fireplaces which must be great in the colder weather.
All the public rooms are almost museum pieces, very atmospheric. Loved the place.
