The Running Horse, hotel in Romsey

A charming, cosy English pub, serving locally sourced produce on its modern British menu, and a selection of ales, fine wines, and seasonal cocktails in the bar.

The room was well equipped and perfect for a short stay. The staff were very helpful, always polite, and the restaurant food was delicious. I also loved the fact that my four-legged companion was looked after with a gift pack consisting of small biscuits, poo bags, and a tennis ball with his own bed to sleep on.

As we drove up we were impressed with the look of the hotel. It has a large carpark so easy to park. We went in to a great welcome from the lovely lady on reception. Easy check in. Great room. As it was very high temperature they came round with free standing fans. So so good thank you. Great service for dinner thank you, great food too.

The room was good size but the bathroom is very dated and needs an uplift. Breakfast was good with standard continental selections, but the dinner at the restaurant was normal, but not spectacular.
