The staff were so friendly from beginning to end. We stayed in the Loft with our 16 week puppy and everything you could think of was catered for. Fresh milk, great variety of decent teabags, cafetière with freshly ground coffee, dog bowl, treats, little map showing a little walk with dog bins, Pooh bags and a lovely little treat for humans, Gin Trap Gin with tonic and a sample of freshly made sweet treats and cookies!

Dinner - whether in the dining room or bar was excellent. Imaginative and very tasty (e.g. fresh crab ravioli, lobster and a prawn bisque with baby spinnage leaves) . Similarly for the breakfast. Great room. Very friendly and obliging owner with polite, well trained and efficient staff.

Our room was beautifully furnished with excellent attention to detail. There were delicious banana and chocolate tarts to savour and a complimentary gin in our room on arrival too. The inn is very dog friendly and is very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was excellent. You could also feel the history in the walls of the old inn but enjoy it surrounded by modern comforts. The complementary Gin Trap Inn gin was a nice surprise.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, our dog was made welcome. We only had dinner on one night, very disappointed that there was only one vegetarian option, it’s nice to have a choice for dinner. Breakfast was very good with lot of options.

Breakfast was great good choice, dinner small bar menu but was very good Double room upstairs was excellent with lovely bathroom room and free standing bath which was used. Second room booked the bedroom was the same size as our bathroom and they only had a shower which was small and they caught themselves on the radiator it as it was so hot when getting out of the shower. It was the second day they found out where to turn it down. Yet you charge the same amount for both rooms. I think this needs to be reconsidered.
