Our evening meal was taken at the hotel and my friends beef was the best my pizza was OK. Breakfast was taken locally at a café on their recommendation.

* All the staff were superb, friendly and helpful - the cool Bar Man, the receptionist/waitress, the lovely cleaning ladies, the handyman, the cook .... and the very kind Owner Man.
* Very comfortable guest room and common areas
* Great restaurant/bar meal offerings and drinks
* Not the most polished, but the most authentic and the best welcoming, laid-back vibe
* Well worth coming in off the Wall walk for
* Altogether this hotel is the best one I stayed at on my 2 week Hadrian's Wall / Coast-to-coast walk across England

Friendly and welcoming staff, good food and very comfortable and clean room
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The Gun is an excellent hostelry. The staff are friendly and polite and the inn immaculately clean. Rooms are well fitted and the beds very comfortable..
The bar has a wide selection and the beer well kept.
Dinner was well prepared and served and delicious.
Breakfast as always excellent and well served.
This is our fourth stay and it will not be our last.
The staff were very friendly, the food very good, and the room very clean and comfortable. Our dinner in particular was delicious, especially the cauliflower katsu curry!
The staff are very friendly.
The inn has a good dinner and breakfast too.
Location is very good just by the main road.
Room is furnished in a modern style and clean, all modern facilities.
Very recommended! One of my best experience of local inn.
Friendly and very welcoming. We had dinner and steak was best we have had in a long time. Breakfast was well cooked and set us up for the day. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
Really cosy, great staff and community owned.
Recently renovated.
Great views from all rooms and especially the dining room.
The food (both dinner and breakfast) was really good as well!
Great location for discovering hadrians wall and Northumberland.
Room was lovely - clearly very recently decorated.
Parking on site no issues.
We close to have dinner and the food was lovely, and very reasonably priced.
Friendly welcome. Nice, clean, freshly decorated room. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Great views. Stunning location.
I had dinner here as well. My Vegetable Lasagne was fine, if a little dry and overseasoned, but the chips with it were cooked to perfection. The ginger sponge for dessert was also heavenly.
