A real Gem in the English Countryside. Very well run, well established and the services offered were great. Chef for the dinner was really top and the breakfast was tasty as well. Service was fast and very amicable.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The Royal Oak surpassed our expectations. We’d booked what we thought was a family room which turned out, to everyone’s delight, to be two rooms in one. The kids were delighted with the biggest bunk beds we have ever seen, pretty much two doubles!
The breakfast was great, we also had dinner which had enough choice for there to be something for everyone.
We couldn’t fault the staff who were brilliant.
We’ll definitely be back!
Outstanding. Truly lovely place, and the team running it are exceptional. I'm not someone who takes pictures of their food, but ended up photographing both dinner and breakfast- they looked like works of art! Tasted as good as they looked. Worth every penny.
The place was lovely and comfortable. We went for dinner at the pub in the evening. The food was delicious and the staff were so accommodating. They even bought out a cake for my boyfriends birthday. I'd highly recommend.
The Royal Oak is a beautiful Cotswold pub with rooms. It is very characterful with a lovely atmosphere. The room was very cosy and the complimentary port was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the dinner. The lady who booked us in and generally looked after us couldn’t have been more helpful.
Superb stay really enjoyed the cabin, very comfortable. The food was superb and the choice of real ales and wine were outstanding.
I will return to this Inn again.
We liked the lovely quiet location of the hotel , we couldn’t hear any traffic noise only the birds twittering , not a commonplace occurance in England these days . The fact that we could walk out of our room to a beautiful cosy dinning room and have a lovely meal made this a very special night , we just wished we had booked this for a longer stay . We hope to be back one day
