Dinner was excellent. Good quality food, good portion sizes, friendly staff, and a decent price.
The room was very very comfortable, clean and spacious, and nicely appointed.
Our room was spacious and comfortable as was our bathroom. We had a Sunday roast in the restaurant the night of our stay which was great and very good proportions. Breakfast was continental. We opted not to go for a cooked breakfast as we were planning lunch and dinner later that day.
The staff were obliging. My room was large if gloomy because of the small windows. The wine at dinner was very good value. The buffet breakfast was ok but the croissants were stale.
This is an exceptional hotel in a quiet country village location. Everything about it is class. We felt welcomed and at home from the moment we walked in. Our room and the hotel’s attention to detail was faultless. The staff were excellent and attentive. Our dinner was top notch. Every place we stay in from now on will be measured against the White Horse.
Very nicely maintained historic inn, well located for visiting the local area. Serves a great breakfast too.
