Very nice atmosphere, not as noisy as often found in pubs. Excellent cooking starting with a very good breakfast buffet plus à la carte and ending with a surprising quality for dinner. Very friendly staff at all times. The rooms are cozy and well kept. All items were clean and well served.
There is a large beer garden in the back, however, we had no opportunity to enjoy it.
The White Hart is an excellent choice if you visit a Goodwood Event, about 15 min of driving. We'll go back for sure.

This was an overnight stop on the way down to the ferry. There were no staff on site but everything worked okay. The bath was nice although I had a broken wrist so getting out was tricky

We were greeted upon arrival by the friendly, polite and very helpful members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble to them. Colin and his team provided delicious, freshly cooked food to a very high standard. It's a great location with lots of places to explore nearby. Will definitely visit again and would certainly recommend it.

The meals were great and the bar was nice. However, this is clearly now a restaurant rather than a proper pub. It didn't open until about 6pm so no locals on a Friday after work. Fortunately a much nicer village pub a few hundred yards away gave the pub atmosphere that this one lacks.

This was the perfect place to stay for one night in the area. Mainly the hosts were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast had lots of options to choose from which were really tasty and had a lovely set up. Bedroom/bed was really comfortable and private bathroom had everything you needed. Space to park too which was useful. Very close to nice walks and towns.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The Nest Hotel is a nice place; the family is very very kind and helpful. As we arrived soaked after a whole day of rain walking, they took care of drying our clothes. Superb! The dinner was good. The team was very friendly.
The location is in a lovely quiet village. Very pretty lots of flowers. Good friendly pub. Comfortable spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed and good quality bed linen. Friendly helpful staff

Excellent place to stay when exploring chichester. Lovely old inn which has been tastefully restored to modern standards. We stayed for five days and were extremely happy with the room, food, bar and delicious breakfasts - it really could not have been better. The staff looked after us very well and it was all at a reasonable price. An easy drive into Chichester of about 30 mins.

Great overnight stay with a dinner in the restaurant. Charming old listed 16th century pub, recently renovated, but still with the old features. Now run very efficiently with great food in the restaurant and lovely bedrooms upstairs. A few low beams, so remember to duck your head now and then! Loved it all!!
South Harting is a charming village and the White Hart inn is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the chef is excellent! The breakfasts are to die for and lunch was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in a pub. Definitely recommended.
A very well cooked and presented breakfast with perfect poached eggs served by the cheery, friendly housekeeper. (Yvonne?) The well sized room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well equipped with good bedlinen and fluffy towels and all the little extras.
Only had dinner one night but it was most enjoyable and the different dishes we sampled were all delicious.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Felt most comfortable as a single elderly woman guest .
