Stayed the last 2 years just before Christmas. As a present for my parents. Got the 2 themed rooms again. I had the top one this time lovely beamed huge room big bed and bathroom. Such a lovely location and cosy pub with roaring fire.. Food was lovely and nice pinoit noir. Dog friendly and usually a dog welcome pack but forgot to put it in so didn't charge me for him. Parents love it there also.

The Flying Bull Inn, hotel in Liss

A village inn in Rake, near Liss, the Flying Bull has a traditional pub and restaurant serving homemade meals for lunch and dinner.

We were to be allocated a special room for dog owners (with less chance of disturbing other guests). We were told there was a plumbing problem, so we were accommodated in the main hotel. That worked smoothly. We didn't meet any other guests, so perhaps there weren't any. I paid the expected £12.50 fee for the dog. I had forgotten our breakfast was included in the main price. That was a bonus.

The Nest Hotel is a nice place; the family is very very kind and helpful. As we arrived soaked after a whole day of rain walking, they took care of drying our clothes. Superb! The dinner was good. The team was very friendly.

Excellent place to stay when exploring chichester. Lovely old inn which has been tastefully restored to modern standards. We stayed for five days and were extremely happy with the room, food, bar and delicious breakfasts - it really could not have been better. The staff looked after us very well and it was all at a reasonable price. An easy drive into Chichester of about 30 mins. We will definitely be back!

Great overnight stay with a dinner in the restaurant. Charming old listed 16th century pub, recently renovated, but still with the old features. Now run very efficiently with great food in the restaurant and lovely bedrooms upstairs. A few low beams, so remember to duck your head now and then! Loved it all!!

South Harting is a charming village and the White Hart inn is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the chef is excellent! The breakfasts are to die for and lunch was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in a pub. Definitely recommended.

A very well cooked and presented breakfast with perfect poached eggs served by the cheery, friendly housekeeper. (Yvonne?) The well sized room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well equipped with good bedlinen and fluffy towels and all the little extras. Only had dinner one night but it was most enjoyable and the different dishes we sampled were all delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Felt most comfortable as a single elderly woman guest .
