fantastic location right in the heart of Porthleven
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Stayed overnight during renovations at home. Very comfortable. Food excellent--dinner exceeded expectations and fried eggs for breakfast-on request ,were perfectly cooked ---not dried up under a lamp! bit of a hike to a third floor room but excellent view.
The inn is across the road from the sea so great location. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Room was nice, clean and comfy. We spent the evening in the bar and everyone there staff and locals were really nice. Would stay here again.
We loved staying at the Swordfish Inn! everyone was so friendly and kind, the breakfast was amazing, we were looked after well and the location cannot be beaten! We could see the harbour and sea from our window.
Very friendly staff, good food (dinner and breakfast). Good vibes. Lovely fluffy bath sheets and premium natural body wash bar. Ear plugs in room if any noise bothered you (didn't need them).
The restaurant breakfast was good and the dinner was excellent. I had the best local caught fresh fish I’ve had in a long, long time. View from the dining room and pool was spectacular. Great morning coffee, bathroom was updated & clean. Staff was helpful & friendly.
Everything. The hosts know how to look after their clients. Would absolutely recommend this guest house great hosting and great location. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful
Very comfortable bed. Lovely hot shower. Only 3 minutes walk to ferry, and 10 minutes to station. Staff offered to carry our cases upstairs. The tavern is a really old traditional pub, but our bedroom and bathroom had all the latest fittings. The breakfast and evening meal were both excellent. We enjoyed watching the Morris dancers outside in the evening.
Location was very convenient. The breakfast was fresh and cooked as requested. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I felt very much at home in the Dunedin Guest House.
Great location within easy walking distance to both train and bus stations. A very old tavern full of atmosphere, wood and brass and nautically themed. Room was clean and bright with a sea view. Tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk provided. Excellent breakfasts, dinners and menu choices. So good we had dinner there every night! . Staff and owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were sorry to leave but will definitely be back!
