The Castle Hotel, hotel in Pen-y-cae

At the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming Welsh coaching Inn in Llandovery offers a traditional bar and bright rooms. It has free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant serving local produce....

Our evening meals were good value, the portion size was generous and the food well presented and tasty. The hotel is quirky with rooms on a number of levels, some rooms even have a flagpole outside and others have a view of Llandovery Castle.

Really cosy pub with a great buzz from plenty of locals. Great food (dinner and breakfast) and comfortable room - bit noisy but we knew that would be the case and didn't mind. Great hikes nearby.

Lovely welcome, the deluxe room met all expectations, and set in a wonderful setting, shame i visited while working. Dinner was good, but seemed to be a lack of healthy options. The cooked breakfast was amazing 10/10. Would definitely go back, if i had meetings agian in the area, Good selection of beers,

Good place to stay in a beautiful location. All the staff & the locals are very friendly & made our stay even better. The view from our room was lovely & there are plenty of walks to do locally. Breakfast was good but has to be pre-ordered the evening before. Dinner was really good - Local produce cooked well.

Our team travelled 4 hours for a job & were late for checkout due to traffic, but the staff were so accommodating & welcoming. They even served up dinner after the kitchen had closed, which was really appreciated. Would definitely book again if working that way or visiting.
