Food was good. Room was great. Very quiet considering it was above a pub.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The location was great for us near the walks we wanted to do,the staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast and dinner was reasonable had good entertainment on Saturday night nice and peaceful
Location perfect for everything I planned to do-walking the fells.
Breakfast huge.
Evening dinner was lovely the two times I ate at the Inn.
Staff helpful, knowledgeable, friendly but not intrusive.
The Brotherswater Inn is surrounded by Lakeland fells, it's an amazing location. Getting there, either from the north or from the south, is by a road that is narrow, undulating and with lots of bends, but once you are there, you want to stay...
The service was friendly. The room was nice and clean. We loved watching the house martins flying in and out of their nests under the eaves.
We enjoyed the one dinner we had - portions are generous so my wife was happy she chose the half portion option. The breakfasts were fine.
Staff were very helpful, restaurant manager looked after us very well, professional gentleman who made sure we were good with all the food, he brought mushrooms and vegan sausages catering for our needs. 10 stars to him!
Great location, plenty of parking, breakfast, lunch and dinner served
Had dinner and 2 breakfasts and the staff were exceptionally efficient and polite. The food and service was much better than I was expecting, especially as we were a party of 10.
Everything went well.
Breakfast included a full vegetarian option.
Dinner: The vegetarian curry was delicious. There was so much, I couldn't eat it all.
Location: Despite our room facing the road, it was so quiet and restful.
We liked the location. We liked how it was pitch black outside no lights so we could view the stars. All the staff are friendly and approachable with knowledge of what is around the area. If you book a table for dinner, there is no time frame or hassle to eat up. The log fire keeps you warm especially after a cold, wet day.
A good cooked breakfast to order. All meals were hot and have not sat under heat lamps. The rooms are clean and tidy.
