4 minute walk to Oxford train station. The rooms were exceptionally clean (albeit slanted because of the old building). The bed was superbly comfortable. Breakfast was very limited but you did get to order one a la carte item which was average: the staff were very friendly but there was no microwave in the property at all!! So no reheating coffee even. Which was very strange. Perfect for what I needed.
Just a few minutes’ walk from Oxford city centre, the Head of the River is situated on the banks of the scenic River Thames. This traditional inn features a riverside terrace and a stylish restaurant....

A beautiful small hotel with comfortable spacious rooms and facilities. The staff were super helpful and polite. The breakfast was wonderful and dinner on 2 nights exceeded all expectations.
Great location, clean building, great hosts, very friendly. Breakfast was good but the Indian menu at dinner was fantastic. They still had English Pub fare too!
A great wee guest house with bus stops right outside to Oxford and Blenheim palace. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The bed was comfy and the area quiet. A simple but ample breakfast with the best poached eggs.
Super pub in a lovely location. We enjoyed a very nice dinner and breakfast was also very good. Lovely room and overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Beautiful location just outside of Oxford. Lovely garden area, great pub. We had a lovely dinner. Room was very nice. Would stay there again. Gave my sister the address.
Adored this place! This was my second time staying here, but this time, I decided to stay a week instead of two days, and it was even better than my first stay. The great location, cute historic building, and absolutely lovely, kind, and attentive staff all contributed to a wonderful experience. It was also very cosy, which was great since I came in January. I also loved the pub right next door, Turf Tavern, which was a great place to grab dinner or a drink at the end of the day. All in all a great place. I will definitely be back!
