Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The location.was central to everything.
Great for my parents having no stairs.
Excellent facilities for making breakfast.
Loved going to Quinns for a lovely tea at night.
Brilliant to be able to park cars.
Staff so friendly, breakfast was top quality, rooms very clean, nice wee bar for late night Guinness, nice seating areas on ground floor to enjoy a morning coffee, highly recommend, my wife and I will be back, perfect hotel for a quiet get-a-way
Lovely location in the countryside, peaceful, able to walk to a local park, close to Newcastle and the water and the Mourne Coastal Route. Comfortable bed, friendly innkeeper, decent continental breakfast.
Conor was a very informative host and only a text message away. The apartment was very spacious and well presented. We catered for ourselves with ease (full fry up was one meal) but also enjoyed John Macs fish and chips and Quinns Bar all near by on Newcastle Promenade. We would highly recommend Donard Point for couples and families. (bathroom and ensuite a bonus.). Neighbours very welcoming, yet still quiet and private. Needless to say we will return 🥰. Thanks again.
Staying at the guest house was an exceptional experience, primarily due to the warmth and welcome of the owner. Despite our very late check-in, he greeted us with genuine hospitality, ensuring we felt right at home. The guest house itself was cozy and inviting, a perfect retreat that combined comfort with personal touches. His accommodating nature and the great ambiance of the place made our stay truly memorable.
The hotel room was lovely. Spacious enough for 3 of us & a beautiful sea view! Big Breakfast & dinners if you wanted to eat in & a 10 minute walk into town if you want to go out for a meal. Staff were very happy to help with anything & looked after us really well
Stunning location on the outskirts of Newcastle with a brilliant view of the High Mournes. My wife and I only booked last minute (which we rarely do) and it proved to be a great decision. Very clean, cosy but super spacious. Everything that you could need was provided (including the hosts reccomending dinner at the Magerah Inn - beautiful little spot 1 minute drive away).
Overall a perfect stay, highly reccomend.
Amazing little bar/guest house! Staff were nothing but amazing from we arrived! You can cross the road and climb the Slieve Donard from the Inn, up the granite trial! Amazing hike if your into that! We came back, straight to the bar, then changed and back down and had dinner here, the food was outstanding! Again staff couldnt do enough for you. Bed was comfy and room spacious enough for us two
