Great value, comfy bed and private access to the pub and rooms. Plenty of hot water and good heating. Quiet, which was surprising as the pub was very busy! Secure parking and good work area in the room.

Set in an 18th-century coaching inn, The Anchor Inn offers free Wi-Fi, home-cooked food and luxury rooms with scenic views.

We loved the Anchor Inn. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by all the staff. The bedroom was comfortable, warm and stylish, the whole place had a nice ambience and the food was superb. Excellent value for money and a great team of people who really know what they are doing to make guests comfortable and welcome. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We stayed in a beautiful, if a little small, room. Bed was quite firm but room was spotless with a large bathroom. It got a little warm and there's no air-con (listed building) we could only open one tiny window. Breakfast was a delight, superbly cooked options with a lovely fresh buffet. We had 1 dinner from the short menu (Sunday & late) which was really good and very tasty. Staff were attentive when needed. Lovely area for an evening walk too. We stayed 3 nights.

A special mention for the staff at all meals, they were excellent and very friendly. An extra mention for the senior lady whose name we never found out. all the staff were great. Food was as we would expect, thank you to the Kitchen staff as well. A special mention for Amy on reception Well done Amy.
