We stayed at the Inn over New Years which meant it was a little more expensive than normal but such a lovely place to stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and, on request, they put a card, balloons and wine (paid for) in the room ahead of us arriving. The room was comfy and clean, the shower was lovely, warm and big. There was the option to have a continental style breakfast each morning and fresh coffee from the bar. The food was the best pie we had all week and the bus stop into Edinburgh was barely a 30 second walk away.

A really wonderful visit. Lovely and friendly staff (Thomas and Molly) compensated for our cancelled trip to Europe with great care and attention. A real credit to themselves and the Bridge Inn. Thank-you.
We will be back again soon, probably before the next hurricane.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Dinner was excellent and with a good wine list and friendly service. Buffet breakfast was good, as expected.
Bedroom was very well equipped and full of character. The public areas within the building were outstanding and the grounds were beautiful.
Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. The breakfast selection was great. My husband and I loved the Library. We spent a bit time up there reading, It was one of our favorite parts of our stay.
The people working here were very kind, in particular the waiter we had during our breakfasts - thank you!!
We got into Edinburgh very easily by bus in 30min. I can really recommend the approach of staying here in the outskirts and exploring the very busy inner city this way.
Superb location for Edinburgh marathon. Bus stop right out side with buses every 10 mins into Edinburgh. Room was perfect and the communal kitchen was perfect for breakfast pre marathon.
Enjoyed a 10/10 Sunday roast at the ship inn bistro after the marathon with drinks in the ship inn bar.
The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful here - nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is delicious and very generous, and dinner in the Bistro is exceptional. The hotel is seeped in history (we visited because the Tower appears in our family ancestry), creating a wonderful atmosphere and the substantial grounds are beautiful. Without question, the highlight are the scones served for afternoon tea - we have tasted a lot, including those in top London establishments and these were by far the best, anywhere, ever!
Room service breakfast excellent but unfortunately a very small room so eating on knees uncomfortable
Smaller room than anticipated as was explained as having dual aspect and had 2 windows on the same wall.
There was enough room, only just, for a table that we could have sat at for breakfast
Very pleased with dinner as allowances made for my gluten free requirements
Lounges areas comfortable
