Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

I opted to stay at Burts through recommendation from a local friend. Burts definitely exceeded my expectations! The staff were all friendly & attentive to my needs from the off. Now the food, was just exceptional. Venison haunch had for dinner and I must say it was the best venison I had ever eaten. I will be back!

Easy parking, pleasantly surprised to see that electric car charging was available and at a reasonable cost. Nice and quiet, very pleasant and attentive staff, great food for dinner and breakfast. This was my 2nd visit and will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Imposing building in a beautiful setting, the hotel has a luxurious feel and a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed a very good dinner with great choices and quality ingredients. Breakfast was the same, served in a lovely sunny room overlooking the River Tweed.

Room was compact but perfectly adequate. I liked the little lounge area adjacent. Breakfast fine. Dinner also, though gins on the pricey side.

The facilities are really good, well kept, clean and comfortable. People working in the hotel are kind and attentive, and ensured I had a great stay. The location is the best, as the hotel is in the very centre of the town (even when it is a small town). This time I just had breakfast, which was top quality. In past stays I also enjoyed dinner, and can say the restaurant of the hotel is exceptionally good. Rooms are tidy and comfortable, good classic blackout curtains (good during summer months), and the mattresses are of good quality.
