The Chequers Marlow, hotel in Marlow

Location was very central and great for our stay. Bathroom window had bad mildew and poor ventilation. Room was comfortable but sadly not serviced on our second day (2 night stay) so unmade bed, dirty cups glasses etc.

Kings Arms Hotel, hotel in Amersham

This hotel dates from the Tudor period, but the inside reflects the very best in modern design. It is featured in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, as well as the TV show Midsomer Murders.

We requested a ground floor not as stated. It was only noisy because it was Christmas Eve so actually good to see how popular it was

Excellent standard of accommodation with very good breakfast. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Quiet location, but beautiful Thames walks a few steps away. Two local pubs rather average, but Dew Drop Inn (a short drive away) is superb.

Reception staff were very welcoming. Room spotless and very comfortable. Good to have a separate shower and bath. Good quality toiletries. Excellent Indian food for dinner. Good breakfast particularly the fruit and yoghurt and pastries & coffee. The restaurant and conservatory had wonderful views over the lawn and lake. The spa facilities are great. My daughter had a massage by a ?South American? lady and says it was exceptionally good. Overall a lovely stay and would like to return.

Great location in the high street, close to all restaurants and the river. Really lovely room, nicely decorated and specious with large shower. Pub downstairs was perfect to have an after dinner drink, and closed early enough that it didn’t disturb our stay.

A historic inn in a quiet location next to the Thames river. The beds were comfortable and even the standard rooms are large enough, while the night was quiet, with only birds chirping at the sunrise. The staff was kind and the breakfast was quite good, with the famous English breakfast available, though some fresh vegetables and hot chocolate options were lacking to make it perfect. Parking at the property is available too.
