The Plough Inn Ripple, hotel in Margate

Set in Deal, 2.2 km from Deal Castle Beach, The Plough Inn Ripple offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Old Inn with oak beamed bar with lots of character and comfortable bedrooms. Friendly staff and happy for us (and sensible) to get in an Indian take-a-way on Sunday night for 8 hungry golfers, as restaurant closes at 4pm Sunday and Monday. Plenty of parking opposite the building.

The Millers Arms Inn, hotel in Margate

A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

Breakfast was fab, was attending a local wedding so can't comment on the food however everyone said locally that the place was the best.

So friendly and helpful, me and my little dog had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be back next time we visit the area. The room was so comfy and was great to be able to use the dinning room with microwave and fridge, a lovely home from home.

Good bed, very comfortable. Decor good, food good, had a couple of excellent dinners, (though breakfast was a bit slow). Good situation, lovely views of the beach and harbour. Roof terrace excellent. . Easy to park, lots of places to visit Missed having somewhere to hang dresses or put underwear etc. Staff very friendly and helpful but think they could do with more restuarant staff.

Breakfast very good. Location ideal for exploring resorts by using the LOOP bus with our pensioner bus passes. Only disappointment was no evening meals in their delightful restaurant but their afternoon teas are very good.
