Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Brilliant guest house, wonderful hosts, lovely breakfast, we will be back!!
Hosts were wonderful, I have a gluten allergy and they were so helpful and supportive and made sure I had gluten free food! Thank you so much!!
We are going to book for a long weekend towards the end of the year!!!
We had enjoyed dinner at Brigands Inn on a previous visit to the area, so decided to book an overnight stay this time. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. The inn has a great history and is full of character. I was a bit worried about traffic noise as the inn is located next to a roundabout, but our room was at the back of the building and we weren't disturbed by traffic through the night.
Bedroom was a nice size and bed was very comfortable.
Bathroom was a great size and also contained a nice size bath tub.
Food and breakfast in the pub was amazing, I would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere to have dinner in the area.
Don't think this is an international hotel and judge it accordingly. It's a rural inn in a beautiful but remote location surrounded by hills and fields. You will walk into a warm welcome, physical and emotional. The room we had was old-fashioned, rather rustic, characterful, definitely not marble and stainless steel but perfectly comfortable, rather like stepping back in time. the staff were great and the meals were wonderful.
The food was exceptional. We sampled most of the breakfasts and the main courses at dinner and they were all outstanding. Robin, the host and chef, is very knowledgeable about food, creating wonderful combinations of textures and tastes from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Both Robin and Jane are very friendly making our stay very comfortable and memorable. The environment is simply beautiful, we particularly enjoyed walking around Cregennan Lakes.
