The Rockford Inn, hotel in Lynton

A secluded 17th-century pub, The Rockford Inn is situated at the bottom of a wooded gorge within the heart of Exmoor National Park overlooking the East Lyn River.

The Rockford Inn is a lovely cosy old pub with very comfortable rooms and it was so relaxing waking up to the sound of the river. We ate breakfast and dinner on a two day stay and all meals were excellent - home cooked using locally sourced produce. The location is superb - with walks direct from the pub alongside the river.

The Fox and Goose, hotel in Lynton

With free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site, The Fox and Goose is situated on the edge of the beautiful Exmoor National Park.

This is the best accommodation excepting multi starred hotels I have ever experienced. The village of Parracombe is just off the A39 and has hardly changed from before the arrival of the motor car. , This pub, restaurant, hotel is like an oasis after my walk from Woolacombe. The hosts are delightful, bar staff accommodating, restaurant superb and my room very spacious with a very modern en-suite bathroom and everything scrupulously clean. All boxes ticked for me. *****

Everything! Fantastic house in beautiful location. The rooms are massive and beautifully decorated! The owners go out of their way to help you, even to the extent that they drove us in to Lynton and advised us where to go for dinner. Loved every minute of staying there! Highly recommended!

This is a lovely guest house brilliantly situated on the main street of Lynton. Easy to walk to restaurants and to the coastal path. Friendly and helpful owners. Spotlessly clean. Really delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Parking is free on the street directly outside from 4pm check in until midday after check out. I would definitely stay there again.

Superb cliff top views with a lovely terrace to enjoy it from! Large comfortable room, food excellent and staff couldn't have been more accommodating going above and beyond offering us dinner even though it was past the time they normally accept bookings and even making a slightly earlier breakfast work so we could get away early the following day. Highly recommend, would love to stay again!

Lovely 17 century inn. Location was ideal. The room was large double with four poster bed and a single room within the suite including a shower room. The breakfast was very good plenty of choice and well organised. Eat in the restaurant both nights of stay with good choice of food including a specials menu each day. The food was very well priced and portions were just right. The staff were very friendly too. .
