Fountain Inn by Greene King Inns, hotel in Lymington

The Fountain Inn overlooks the River Medina and has harbour views from its al fresco dining area. It offers free Wi-Fi, a good breakfast and live music on most Friday and Saturday nights.

This was my second stay here as it's really convenient from the Red Funnel ferry (you just need to then get the chain ferry over) and to get around the island on buses. It's pretty much in the middle of the main street/town, 5-10 min walk to get to the beach. The room was clean and had the basics- checked/restocked daily. The staff were friendly and helpful and quickly answered my questions. It's easy to get around the town/beaches and to get to around the Island. The town has a good selection of shops & some lovely eateries!

The Swan Inn, hotel in Lymington

Set in Southampton and within 3.1 km of Southampton Cruise Terminal, The Swan Inn has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi.

We had a meal included package and both breakfast and dinner were not at all what we would expect. It was mass produced buffet style food but not one option was in our opinion appropriate for consumption. Army catering is far better and that is saying something.

Our stay at Monkey Brewhouse was very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spotless and had all we needed. We had lunch in the pub when we arrived and it was delicious and HUGE! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was equally tasty. We didnt have dinner at the pub- as we were in town, but next time we would definitely try it. We were using public transport so we were a little far from the own centre. However a 15/20 minute walk was all that was needed. The bus stop is right outside.

All OK as expected. At dinner the Moules Mariniere had to many small bits of broken shell, I guess they were mixed around to much when being cooked. Room great. Breakfast very good.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. We took our young dog with us, she had a little goody bag in the room. They also have a dog paddock out the back to use. We had a roast dinner on the second night which was amazing, best roast I've had for a long time. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It was actually our second visit and we'll be back x x

Comfortable and clean. Excellent staff. Very tasty breakfast. There are a variety of guest areas with different feels to them, we enjoyed a drink in the bar before dinner in the Samphire restaurant with views in to the garden. The Orangery is lovely and bright.

A beautiful guest house by the water. We loved the Mayflower, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fabulous, and our room was large and overlooking the water. It's within walking distance of the town and free parking is rare these days so much appreciated. We had dinner here one night and the sticky date pudding is one of the best we've ever had! Highly recommend.
