The Kings Head Inn, hotel in Llandovery

Offering a bar and a restaurant, The Kings Head Inn is a 13th century coaching inn located in the market town of Llandovery.

The Kings Head Inn was an amazing experience, especially at this price point. The breakfasts were delicious and most importantly the staff was GREAT! Plus the pub was always entertaining. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean. 10/10 recommend. My only comment for improvement would be a deep clean in the corners of the rooms (haha, super picky I know) and perhaps an opportunity to recycle in the rooms.

The Castle Hotel, hotel in Llandovery

At the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park, this charming Welsh coaching Inn in Llandovery offers a traditional bar and bright rooms. It has free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant serving local produce....

The staff were very friendly and helpful from the start. My husband was on crutches and the room we had been given was at the top of the building. The young man immediately said he would see if we could have a room with less stairs. This was sorted quickly. The room was spacious and spotless, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast good.

Pete was an amazing host. Such a warm welcome and would pop over to check that everything was well during our time there. Our daughter enjoyed helping with the chickens. Well stocked kitchen with cutlery, dinner service, mugs and utensils. Having a personal BBQ, swing seat, picnic table and fire pit by our yurt was lovely.

The Inn is gorgeous, and bright inside. Rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and quiet. Location could not be better for walking around and exploring Llandovery, or to head out more into the adventures Wales holds. Karen and Mark have created a lovely space, and the food is the best I’ve had in my 6 week UK travels, and perhaps you’ll also sit in the spot King Charles occupied on one of his visits to Llandovery. There just isn’t a more romantic, curated stay I could imagine, The New White Lion is a true highlight.

We were given a warm welcome and the lady at reception kindly took our luggage for us as we were taken to our room. The dinner was fine, with a good range of choices, though the two very helpful ladies working at the bar and also serving food at the tables were very hard pressed on a busy evening. Breakfast choices were good though the one lady tending to busy tables and serving good food was rather overstretched but very courteous. All in all v good.
