situated only a 10 min. stroll from the city centre so no need to drive. Parking is free at the location. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The food was very good although they do not serve breakfast there are establishments close by. The food in the pub was lovely and not over priced. Although on a busy main road you are not disturbed by the traffic and if by chance you are a light sleeper they provide ear plugs, we did nit use them.
A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

Lovely location as we were visiting family only 5 minutes away staff really friendly and very welcoming food was delicious and good value
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Nice pub with good food in the center of a small village. The pub is great with a nice atmosphere and good food. I would definitely recommend to have dinner here! Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
A fabulous place to stay in a very lovely village - close to Canterbury and in the lovely Kent countryside. The dinner was really great and breakfast was very well done. Oh and some excellent beers on draught ! The staff were super friendly and we’d love to stay again soon.
Everything! This is your quintessential pub stay in the garden of England. The quaintest little village.
The pub is amazing, the food was incredible, we had dinner and breakfast. The people were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are modern and decor lovely and the Chocolate Port in your room is a special touch. There’s nothing we didn’t like about the Duke William and we will be back.
We stayed at the Duke William for the second time and were welcomed like old friends. Team, rooms, pub and location are all outstanding.
Ickham is a lovely village and the perfect starting point for excursions towards the coast or Canterbury. The team is very kind and happy to accommodate special dietary needs (gluten-free diet). There's nothing better than coming back to the lively pub for dinner after a day out discovering Kent and the beautiful rooms feel like home.
We will be back for sure - the sooner the better!
Breakfast was very good, fresh ingredients and served in an efficient and friendly manner.
Had dinner there too. Imaginative menu and very good quality food. Met several people in the bar who came regularly to the pub from Sandwich for dinner.
Really lovely looking property, the rooms were decorated nicely. The staff were friendly and definitely went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The kids loved the playground and it was relaxing to sit in the garden with a drink. The food was amazing both for dinner and at breakfast. Can’t fault our stay and we’d be looking to return with our dog to have a look around the area.
