Great building with loads of history. Comfortable bed, staff attentive and friendly. Pub downstairs busy and great mix of people, food was a big step up from pub food and very nice presented.. beats any modern hotel.

Very comfortable night in a smartly presented room with spotlessly clean en-suite shower room. Tea/coffee-making facilities with fresh milk, tv and radio -what more can anyone need? We only wanted a small meal in the evening and the small plates on the menu were exactly what we hoped for. We didn't have the cooked breakfast next morning, but the granola bowl was excellent. Our stay was most enjoyable and we highly recommend The Leicester Arms.

Continental breakfast was limited and expensive. Would have expected this to be included in the price charged....as is usually the case .
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at The Star Inn. The staff were lovely, room was cosy and clean with all basic amenities. It's in an ideal location not far from Gatwick airport which was perfect for us after a very long day of traveling. We were the only people in the restaurant at breakfast time so very quiet and the food was delicious. Wouldn't hesitate to book with this place again!
We had dinner at the hotel which was ok. Breakfast was pleasing, with a good selection to choose from. The staff serving breakfast were very attentive. The room was comfortable and clean and liquid refreshments were on offer. However, there was no consistency with what refreshments received with our friends room refreshments not being replensished. We also had a nice bathroom. However, this was a bathroom for a disabled person. There was a selection of shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
We had supper and breakfast at the Star Inn. The food was excellent! Especially the breakfast, with its locally sourced sausages and bacon. Very good value!
Food was fabulous (dinner & breakfast). Bar was really good and cocktails great. We played board games in bar area and the barman was so lovely and hospitable. Pool was nice. Room nice and clean. Hotel needs a little spruce up but for the money and lovely stay I think I could overlook these little faults.
Great location - the balcony overlooked the winning post on the racecourse, so we watched the racing from our room - fantastic! Breakfast was excellent as well.
The room was lovely, bright and very clean. We had some cocktails at the bar they were delicious. I think the man that made these was called Andy, he was so friendly and polite i would like to say a big thank you to him he made our afternoon by being so nice. We ate dinner in the restaurant the was cooked fresh and was delicious. Breakfast was buffet style and had lots of food to choose from.
Simple plain accomodation. Room size good. Nice and clean. The shower worked well. A short walk across the car-park to the Inn which had soom very good beer.
