The Appleby Inn Hotel, hotel in Lichfield

Located just 1-mile from the M42 motorway, The Appleby Inn Hotel is set in rural Derbyshire in the village of Appleby Parva.

The food was excellent, 1st class. The only criticism is that the portions were far too large and did not leave any room for a dessert, which looked great from what I saw other people having.

Room was lovely & clean, bed super comfy. Dinner was good, efficient staff. Breakfast was good but we were overcharged as they didn't ask if we were residents but we got that rectified. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

Beautiful property, comfortable bed, everything we could need in the room. Breakfast included was a bonus. Ample parking. Perfect location for our dinner reservation at Upstairs just around the corner. Garden was lovely to be able to sit outside. Having a fridge was really useful in this hot weather. Sockets by bed and a dressing table area big pluses for me. Breakfast was tasty.

The Hedgehog is a lovely old building full of character-our room was one of the most spacious we have ever stayed in and very comfortable-we had lovely views out to the countryside in the distance. The gardens were beautiful and the bar welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast . Thank you to Everyone involved-the staff were very friendly and helpful and we will certainly stay again

Standard menu for dinner. Didn't have breakfast. Room was clean and perfectly good but not exceptional. Nor did we expect that. Just wanted somewhere to stay that didn't cost an arm and a leg. It was a bit more than we wanted to pay but pretty much in line these days.
