The staff were exceptional and they allowed us to check out 1pm rather than 11am- they went above and beyond. 5 stars Manager was lovely too

This is the first time in my life that a hotel looked even better in real life than in the photos. Everything was simply superb. The staff was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. There’s a pub on the ground floor, but it’s perfectly quiet in the rooms. Overall, it was an amazing and wonderful experience.

I stayed at the Wheatsheaf for an event close by. They did a great job of managing the separate resturant/pub and Inn. The breakfast was amazing, and being able to eat great food onsite for dinner was a plus!

Loved the hotel, quirky, delicious food, and the taxi we ordered for Glyndebourne was on time bothe ways. We will be back and will recommend the inn to friends
This is an absolutely charming pub/restaurant in the middle of the Sussex countryside with a few rooms. All around are lovely walks and views, and it is only a shortish drive (albeit down very narrow country lanes) from Lewes, Hove, and Brighton. Our room was very comfortable with a splendid bathroom, and lovely view. We ate dinner on Saturday night and it was inventive and delicious cuisine using a lot of local ingredients. Highly recommended, not least because the owners and staff are particularly friendly.
This was a lovely place with everything we expected and more. The lovely breakfast was more than plenty for our needs. The view across the field and garden was beautiful to sit and watch/listen to the birds and chill. Ginny and Henry were lovely hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again.
Perfect country location. Walking country, with recommended routes by Jolly Sportsman. Airy, spacious bedroom. Delicious dinner. Friendly and informative staff. A great stay. Will be back!!!!
Very well equipped with a great layout and spacious rooms. Great for a quiet night in, act as a hub or to entertain dinner attempts. The host (Sara) is on hand and though we didn't require, gives the impression will help with anything necessary.
Lovely, quiet location. Room was clean, tidy, comfortable & had everything you'd need. Staff were attentive & friendly. The food at dinner & breakfast was lovely.
We were very well looked after by attentive and friendly staff (particular thanks to Chrissie), the room was very spacious (we opted premium, other rooms looked much more modest in size) and well fitted. We found some unexpected comforts for a country inn like bathrobes, complimentary chocolates, milk and water in the fridge. The food is fantastic. A big and very delicious breakfast. We also had a fantastic lunch upon arrival. A really nice experience overall.
