Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The house location is perfect, close to the main street and bus stops, on a very calm street. The breakfasts made by Liz and Chris are really good, with lots of options. The house itself is very nice and the room amazing, with a great ensuite and everything you'd need.
Liz and Chris are amazing hosts, you can ask them about anything you'd need during your stay. For a first time staying at a guest house, this was just an amazing experience.
Friendly staff, excellent food. We had dinner and breakfast, which were delicious.
The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The surroundings are beautiful, with some very friendly horses 😁. Highly recommended.
- Excellent facilities
- Character property with beautiful grounds
- Good location and plenty of parking
- Good breakfast and nice dinner in the Tavern
- Friendly staff (although seemingly stretched)
The location is perfect for lovely walks.... Kate the host goes above and beyond any guest house owner we have met. The breakfasts are to die for all freshly cooked and lots of options and are served with a smile. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and are lacking for nothing. The toiletries supplied are excellent quality. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. You are treated like part of the family from beginning to end. Loved it and cannot wait to return.
The George is an attractive historic inn in the centre of Keswick. It has a very good restaurant, where we had both a breakfast and two dinners. The food and service were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable. There were good drying facilities for wet clothes caused by being out walking in wet conditions.
The guest house was very good. The host was friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient for the town centre and walking in the area..
His suggestion for dinner was very helpful. The cake offering was a great touch and much appreciated.
