The room was charming and the bathroom was wonderful. The huge tub was luxurious and the amenities provided were of a high standard. A good quality breakfast was also included in the price. This place is a hidden gem and proved to be outstanding value for money. I will certainly return.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Perfect place to stay with children or friends. The pub is lovely with playground. Accomodation is also very rustic and clean. Staff were incredible too .
i was pleasantly surprised with the value of money i received. The way i can describe it is a cheaper premier inn. views were incredible. you can pay £7.50 for a £10 breakfast voucher you can redeem at mcdonalds or costa.
Lyndhurst Guest House is located ideally near the centre of Kendal, is quiet, clean, comfortable and has a lovely, friendly landlady in Yvonne, who made me very welcome. I hope to stay there next year.
Great staff, nice bar/restaurant area and convenient location. Ate dinner which was good and breakfast was also excellent. The bed was only a double and the rooms were on the small side, but nicely decorated and clean.
Location was perfect, just on the outskirts of the peaks so about a 20 minute drive to the wainwrights (and an area that actually has signal). There is a great inn/pub just over the road and a path opposite which is perfect for quiet evening dog walks. Pauline went above and beyond to accommodate for our puppy which was really kind. The breakfast was brilliant, we looked forward to it every morning. Everything was very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again
Spacious 2 bedroomed apartment with kitchenette. Everything worked and it had everything needed for a stay. We were able to order dinner and it was brought to our room by the very friendly staff
Host Yvonne was very welcoming and friendly, and provided information about hiking routes and bus services that really helped with my plans during my stay. The room had everything that I needed - it was very comfortable, and thoughtfully provisioned. A list of local places to eat - one for breakfasts, and the other for lunches/dinners - came in very useful. The en-suite was clean, and basics kept topped up throughout my stay. For a busy guest house, the sound insulation was good - it was very peaceful, and I slept well.
Lovely quiet guest house just out of town. Very comfortable room with a couch and good size bath/shower with plenty of hot water. Good hot breakfast. Parking space for our car.
Pauline and Bill were wonderful hosts.
Also recommend The Station Inn, a short walk away, for a delicious dinner.
