We arrived very late in the evening due to the heavy fog. The receptionist received us with warmth and a beer for my husband. I think we were the last guests to arrive that day. Peaceful and quiet. The bedroom was spacious for our family of four. Bath room large and clean. We loved the traditional barn styled English house. So much culture! We also loved the free English breakfast!

Love the place. We got married here and it will always be special to us. But for what a night away cost me here in a mediocre room I can go to somewhere top tier and far superior. Like the Brimstone. Which you can’t compare to in this context. The WB just isn’t anywhere near in the same league. So why spend the money when there is far better out there???

We have stayed here before and will be visiting again. Nothing is too much trouble and you’re met with a smile and made to feel most welcome. Room first class, slept so well.
Can certainly recommend Hotel and the area.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
A nice-looking hotel, built in the 1850s, it was an orphanage run by nuns so has some history.
The ground floor looks inviting, with stylish decor and the member of staff, who welcomed us, was very pleasant.
Dinner was very good and there was a good choice at breakfast.
Lovely property … photos don’t do justice. Spacious rooms, very very comfortable beds and tasty food - both dinner and breakfast. We stayed a night as part of our trip and loved it!
Host Yvonne was very welcoming and friendly, and provided information about hiking routes and bus services that really helped with my plans during my stay. The room had everything that I needed - it was very comfortable, and thoughtfully provisioned. A list of local places to eat - one for breakfasts, and the other for lunches/dinners - came in very useful. The en-suite was clean, and basics kept topped up throughout my stay. For a busy guest house, the sound insulation was good - it was very peaceful, and I slept well.
Lovely quiet guest house just out of town. Very comfortable room with a couch and good size bath/shower with plenty of hot water. Good hot breakfast. Parking space for our car.
Pauline and Bill were wonderful hosts.
Also recommend The Station Inn, a short walk away, for a delicious dinner.
