The Bull Inn, hotel in Ipswich

The Bull is a historic coaching inn located in the center of charming Woodbridge. The property overlooks Market Hill with the impressive Elizabethan Shire Hall and the beautiful St Mary’s Church.

The Bull Inn is an old, and in some places quaint building. They have a small car park, and it is best to book a parking space, even though there is an extra charge, as local parking can be difficult. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. There is no lift, but the staff offer to carry your bags up the stairs. Our room was a decent size, and had two sitting chairs, many only have one. Very clean and quiet. Excellent bed and not too hot. For those liking hand-pumped beer, they had 6 local brews on. Breakfast was very good, allow plenty of time.

I arrived quite late at Shakers Inn, but when I entered I was being overblown by the warmth & friendliness by the friendly staff. One of the staff members even gave me lift to Harwich International, which I also find really kind!

Breakfast was fresh but the lack of choice compared to rival companies such as Premier inn was sparce. The fried breakfast was warm but the range of food was poor.

Large hotel, plenty of parking. Easy self check in system. Extremely friendly staff, who work very hard. Good size room with very large and comfortable bed. Had drinks in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent ! Christina greeted us on reception and served us in the bar, she had fantastic customer service ! Had a very good night's sleep, room was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a lovely old building with well maintained grounds. Nice sized bedroom & bathroom. Dinner was lovely but small portions. Breakfast was very good. Room refreshments were excellent (though fresh milk would be nice). Staff were friendly & smiley.
