The Rose and Crown, hotel in Huddersfield

A 15-minute drive from Huddersfield, this traditional pub offers à la carte dining and a range of real ales. It is situated in the heart of Thustonland village, and offers free Wi-Fi.

Cosy but popular country pub. The breakfast was cooked to order and the host was very flexible. We could not fault the quality on either morning. We dined here on one of the evenings with family and wished we had chosen to eat on both evenings. The food and service were excellent. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud. We both slept well. We would happily stay at the Rose & Crown again.

Location is stunning. Would have loved more time to explore Staff were so lovely, very much a credit The bed was divine, as were the pillows The room was lovely, big enough and tastefully decorated Toiletries smell gorgeous The food was delicious, especially the breakfast Room was tidied and everything restocked during my stay It had everything I needed. Loved it, thank you to everyone for their hard work It's also dog friendly which I love. I'd book again, and would love to know what mattress and pillows they use ❤️

Shears Inn, hotel in Huddersfield

Situated in the town of Halifax, Shears Inn offers a bar and a restaurant, free WiFi access and on-site parking for guests.

The location was really tucked away, the advantage of which was that it was really quiet while still a short distance away from the town centre. It's ideal for visiting the Piece Hall. There's a a bar serving food; we didn't dine there, but the menu looked good and reasonably priced and many tables had reserved signs, so it must be good and popular. The room was really nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed. Plenty of storage available, with a wardrobe and drawers.

The Alma Inn, hotel in Huddersfield

Set 8.4 km from Victoria Theatre, The Alma Inn offers 3-star accommodation in Sowerby Bridge and features a garden, a terrace and a bar.

A beautiful country style venue. The bar is comfortable and welcoming with a great selection of drinks. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Portions were good including children's portions. Our room was immaculate, cosy and inviting. We had everything we needed and good heavy curtains made the room dark so we had a fantastic sleep and even managed a lay in. The surroundings are just bliss, peaceful and picturesque. We will definitely stay again when we visit the family. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Woodman always meets expectations. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable and in the main building. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced, although we didn`t have steak. The inclusive breakfast was excellent as usual.

We thought the location was nice and very quiet. Our breakfast was very enjoyable and presented well, nothing was too much trouble for the staff or management. We had dinner on the previous night and the portion sizes are very generous and tasty with staff very helpful. We will be back to stay again.

Lovely warm welcome, even though we were late. Superb hospitality. Amazing food both at dinner (huge choice and massive portion sizes) and an individual breakfast choice that was cooked to order. Lovely, clean room with a really comfortable bed. Great location for completing a local CSI experience.

All friendly people the superior room was great and got the breakfast and dinner included which was a bargain. The walks would be fantastic except for the rain but the views are worth this with the relaxation being out of town

The breakfast was brilliant. The beds were really comfortable. We had dinner before we went to see a concert in Holmfirth and the meal was exceptional. The journey between the pub and Holmfirth isn't simple, luckily the bar staff recommended a taxi.

The bar is warm and welcoming with a great selection of well kept crystal clear beers on tap. The menu is great and so is the food as well as being reasonably priced (unlike some other local establishments). The Innkeeper is a fantastic host and I shall return.
