The entire experience was fantastic. Pet friendly, I was able to stay with my dog at the Alma Inn and also allowed to bring him everywhere with me - for dinner and breakfast. The room was great, I had a courtyard view, and it was spotless, incredibly clean. I loved the free Wi-Fi, I ordered their Fish and Chips for dinner and had a light breakfast before continuing my journey in the morning. The location is great as well, with the water and harbor right around the corner.

Lovely pub in a quiet village. Road was being repaired overnight but the hotel informed us in advance we didn't hear it. Perfect location for the Harwich ferry ( 16min drive ) and much cheaper than accommodation closer to the port.

The pub itself was quite noisy as the Euro football tournament was on several televisions in the bar and as I climbed the stairs I wondered how quiet the room would be. The reality is that I could hear nothing from my room. The room was very comfortably furnished and a good size with modern decor and facilities. The food and drink were standard Wetherspoons fare, which while not winning Michelin stars is all the better for it. A very tasty fish and and chips with a couple of pints of local ale, went down very well.

Just a super location when you have to leave UK with boat next morning. They provide you sandwich as breakfast to take with you. Super Inn in the middle of historic town and near quay: made some lovely walks along the shore. The atmosfere of Alma Inn: just cosy. Plus very good dinner (doversole / fish and chips). Very kind with our dog (who escaped almost into the kitchen)

The interior was quaint and the decor in the rooms was in keeping with the age of the Inn. Contemporary with a hint of rustic.
