Lovely welcome from staff member. The restaurant looked very inviting. We were shown to our room, which was really nice. Everything we needed was there. The bed was comfy. A plentiful continental breakfast was brought to our room in a picnic basket at 9am the next day.

We loved the gorgeous 12th century inn - it has bags of character. If visitors from abroad are looking for that sense of history, they will love the blue boar inn (tall people, be warned - you will need to duck through doorways!). Even better than the building was the landlady Laura. She seems like she was born to host, making us feel so welcome, booking taxis, etc. She is a delight!

Lisa was a great host, extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The Inn is full of character and had a lovely fire, bar area and dinning area. The bedroom had everything we needed and bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast and the homemade marmalade was lovely. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Laura the owner was a delight to deal with and so attentive to our needs. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and all comforts given. Breakfast was so delicious and all your needs catered for - shame we didn't have a chance to stay for an evening meal as I am sure that would have been lovely too. If you need to stay in the area, the village and the Blue Boar Inn is a good choice.
